So, the answer to your question about gear was answered by you in the above quotes. GG

You are ****-sucking, because you're disagreeing with me with because you like Teddy and he doesn't like me.

Arena is different then duels. It's all about burst on a double dps team, anyone will tell you this. It's hard to have reliable burst when your gear is bad.

Against a healer in a duel though, it's ALL about gear, skill has 0 to do with it. There is absolutely nothing you can do against a tree druid or a resto shaman if their gear is better then yours. Disc priests are iffy, you can outplay them if their gear is slightly better then yours.

You're terrible.

If you can't beat healers with equal gear, that's your problem. Yes, shamans are troubling, but to say "there's nothing you can do"?

Guess I imagined beating resto shamans and tree druids on my server, then. And I imagined rogues for the last 4 years putting those duels in their PvP videos (Unmercy, Neilyo, Buddhist, etc).

Seriously dude, stop posting.

Started season in Twilight Mist/Fleshshaper (lolheroic weap) and 3pc Hateful.

Never once even seen a Sinister Revenge drop. Also, had 1850 Weapons since 3rd week of the season, why would I use a SR when the 1850 weapons are better.

So you basically have no ******* clue what you're talking about.

So, when you rummage around for what left you have to ***** about, start remembering I started the season in the gear you have been in ALLLLLLLLL season.

So, I just went tri-spec. I joined a 2v2 solo, and ended up destroying a resto shaman/tree comp by my self. I hit on plate for 11k!

Guys, I'm super serial...Zaph, you take sh*t way too personal to be in these forums. We can literally hear your tears hitting the keyboard. Zaf, I'm just going to say that it's not that Feyras likes Teddy, it's just that a lot of us don't like you.

I'm enjoying that report button more and more.

And in an attempt to get the thread back on track again... Check out my fail rogue self!!!!

I still have to gem the belt, and pretty much get much better gear, but I'm getting the rotation down for Mutilate and y e a h. I'm enjoying my rogue more and more again.

Because when you like someone and that someone else doesn't like someone, you don't like them either. It's really common. I could prove my facts all day long, provide concrete evidence and even show you, and i'd still be an idiot. My Rogue has 3530 attack and I can force a 5-combo eviscerate on a tree druid and show you how it only does 2700 damage. In that situation I would suck, even though I statistically have similar attack to your average arena rogue.

Hell, all I did when I posted on this post in the first place was post my armory like the topic was about, and Teddy and Theo attacked it for no reason. Yet it's alright for them to start whatever they want, but i'm the one wrong in the end, and what they do is perfectly acceptable? It's all about follow-the-leader around here. The well respected can prance around doing whatever they want, and the ill-respected get stepped on for doing nothing. I could say the same thing Theo said a month ago that everyone laughed at, and i'd get pissed on for posting the same thing because *I* posted it.

It's all because no one likes me, it has nothing to do with what I post.

I never once said equal gear, I said better gear. It's simply not possible for my Rogue (3530 attack 29.50% crit, using a heroic dagger mainhand and a AH dagger offhand) to take out a resto druid with BETTER gear if they don't suck. There is absolutely nothing I can do to prevent it. There is no ability, skill, or poison in the world that could help me burn down a resto druid or resto shaman 1v1 if their gear is better.

You can outplay melee classes if you put in more work and are skillful about when you choose to use what you have, but it's simply not going to happen with healers. I don't really see how you can argue with this. 41/5/25 can use mutilate three times and eviscerate once in a 10 second stunlock duration. Or CS->Gouge->KS duration (Which is better to wear off HoT's and deal extra damage in the process without sacrificing energy). After that, there is no more sustained damage and you'll be starving for energy while the druid heals through your pokes. You can blind, but he'll trinket. If you can't, for the most part, burn a healer down to at least 20% in a stunlock you're not going to do it. End of story. I REALLY want to know how this is debatable.

Of course, that's if the healer isn't bad. I've seen 27k hp disc priests burn trinket on my kidney shot and leave themself open for a blind. *Shrugs*

The potential of the comp is huge, because Succubus can CC one guy while both burn down the other. I'm saying it's not ideal as something like Rogue/Ret or Rogue/Mage. Ret's give Rogues 750AP and help with burst while having the best defensive abilitys in the game, and Mage can Polymorph and it doesn't share dimishing returns with Blind like fear does.

I am sure it's very possible to hit 2300+ as Rouge/Lock, but neither my gear nor his is there yet.

The max damage on The Flashshaper is 310, the max damage on Twilight Mist is 367. Mutilate does damage based on weapon damage. 310 damage to -> 367 is similar to adding 400~ attack to your mutilate.

You can argue that the minimum damage is the same, but in the end the Twilight Mist has a much much higher burst potential with mutilate.

All I did was make a small rebuttal about what you said, and stated that I knew Teddy didn't have SRx2. You then proceeded to call me a ****-sucker because I was saying things in defense of him. I never hated you until you rambled on like a little kid.

You should have just said "Your mom" and called it a day. It would have been the same thing.

You say that you can't beat people (healers) with better gear than you? I recall watching the old school Roguecraft videos, and that guy was wearing no gear, and only a gray/white level 1 dagger. He was beating level 60 Knights+. That was back in vanilla, though. Alot has changed mechanic wise, but skill has always been greater than gear.

Edit: The well respected thing is total crap. Theo gets rated down in his FAQs and stickies, and there isn't any reason for it. People attack him all of the time, too. Grown up. People aren't always going to like you.

No no, I called you a ****-sucker because I made a rather strong post about how, in the past, Teddy and Theo made claims I knew weren't true. I could probably find this post for you pretty easily. Theo said he hit for ridiculously high damage, 100->0'd people in a 10 sec stunlock, and his gear was far worse then mine was (at the time), and I couldn't do that. It really doesn't take much skill to Cheap Shot -> Mutilate -> Kidney Shot -> Mutilate -> Mutilate -> Eviscerate. That's the only way you're 100->0'oing someone, unless you're using envenom or some such (But then no double wound). The ONLY way. I really do not feel that this is up for debate.

Teddy then posted claims saying he always hit DK's for 4k mutilates, which I called BS on. I later got in a BG with him, and he hit my ZERO resil DK for 1.1k per hand. I posted pictures of this.

I can claim I hit plate for 2k main hand mutilates too. I have done it. Does it happen a lot? Hell no. I actually get surprised as hell when it does. Do these said players I hit that hard have no resilience? They sure don't. =P

I apologize for coming out as I did, I read your post and everything you said behind the last paragraph wasn't really rude. I just don't feel it's fair to still defend them even when it's clear they're wrong, and i'm still the "Terrible" person in the end.

By your logic, once you hit 2350(and thus no more items to gain) you should then be able to hit 3k because everyone's gear will be the same and there won't be this gear gap "holding you back".

I'm just gonna throw in another analogy about gear:

You basically say, that I only got my ratings because of my gear. You are undergeared compared to me thus, your ratings are less. Keep in mind I started in essentially the same gear in arena.

Now, Say someone does Naxx25 and clears it every week. Your guild can do half of this guild is doing.

Now, sure this guild has items from KT now, and is rather geared. This is why they have such an easy time.

See some similarities?

Now, these people didn't have all this gear the first time they did it. They started with roughly the same. They are just doing better and are more skilled than yours. How else could one group of people be failing to achieve the same progress as another group? No hacks either, btw.

So, are these people just doing it because they have KT gear? (never mind they did it at the very least once, although in reality to gear the entire raid or fill in all the slots you must do this multiple times)

Once again. I await to see where my logic is clearly wrong.

With the gear I have right now, a simple dagger upgrade like that would get me to 1850. Mutilate is the major major portion of your burst, if that burst is damaged because of a crappy damage dagger, you're going to suffer for it. I watch video's of Rogues critting tree's with regular melee attacks for 1000-1200+, my melee attacks crit for 800~, and if I armory said players their attack is *LESS* then mine is. It's because their dagger has a much higher base damage. Really though, try it. Go to a target dummy with a good dagger, mutilate 50+ times. Look at recount. Switch to Fleshshaper or other crappy dagger, do it 50 times, look at recount. The damage is roughly 7-12% different. I've tested this with Fleshshaper and the Hodir weapon, which is a closer gap then Fleshshaper and Twilight Mist. You have to think that using Mutilate several several times during an arena, even if it's only 3 times, that's still 21%-36% more burst through mutilate then I would've had prior.

And, when everyones gear is the same, then it IS about skill, comp setup, and lolRNG. But really, being 1754 and facing off against 1820+ teams that already have their furious weapons and most of their furious gear, against me and my partner? It's clear who has the advantage. Horrible analogy. Take Basketball. Someone stands at the 3-point line, and someone else stands at foul line. Each person has to shoot the ball 50 times. Whoever makes it the most wins. Skill can make up for the disadvantage, but in the end it's still a disadvantage.

I never claimed to be equally skilled as Teddy. He is probably better then I am, but I really doubt the threshold is that big.

In regards to your post being rude, I suppose it wasn't. It just seemed clear that you felt Teddy was some god-like Rogue figure and unless you have a comparable arena rating it's "GG dumbass".

If I can hit 1850 I can assure I can breach 2k this season.

In regards to all the real-life comments, I have told people much bigger then me things far more rude then ****-sucker. They make threats and all, but nothings actually happened yet. I'm passive for the most part, but if someone pushes me I do indeed speak out.

I was talking about 100>0ing someone during a stunlock. And honestly, if someone really lets you Ambush them then mutilate them, before you get shadow furied or death coiled, they suck really bad. If you're opening with Cheap Shot, then Vanish -> Ambushing, that's 100 energy gone and you're not going to be mutilating twice.

That's a very good point. But as i've said, I have cleared Grobbulus in Naxx25 roughly 4 or 5 times now, and I have never seen Twilight Mist drop. I usually run Naxx on my DK and let my Rogue in for Grobbulus. Anyway...

I started the season later then you did. I was going to make DK my main, and about two weeks into the season I decided against it. I didn't start Arena until early June. That was five weeks after the season was released. You, yourself have said that you started at the START of the season, that is when many people were in similar hateful gear and didn't have furious weapons and didn't even have a chance to get furious gear at the same rating. To further my point, you started the arena season with a decent dagger, PLUS you were facing people who didn't have a chance to get furious weapons or gear yet. I started 5 weeks into the season with a crappy dagger, with people ranked as low as 1700 with Furious Weapons.

It's a disadvantage.

You're right, MOST people just want to act tough. I'm a very mellow person, but I have a short temper. I've just learned how to control it over the years, but I assure you when someone disrespects me like that I don't hold it in.

Its all irrelevant because I'll never see you in person, and if I did, you probably wouldn't say that.

I have a very short temper too. I am very passive even when I don't want to be. I can put up with a lot of trash talk if I have to. In a work environment for example.

If it was a real-life scenario and I seen you sticking up for someone that didn't deserve it, I would tell you to stop sucking ****. Yeah.

Not saying the situations the same here, but just in general.

Actually, I remember the post you're talking about.

It was after I had just hit 79 (or 80) and I was playing Mut with my level 70 S4 gear. I was 100-0'ing people that had whatever arena title was all the rage in S5.

100-0 means that I'm at 100% HP (or damn near) and they're at 0, BTW. It doesn't mean that I kill them in 4-5 GCDs, as you assume. Some of us can actually manage to use LOS and restealths to own the sh*t out of people that have much better gear.

By saying something is impossible while someone else is saying that it is possible, are you proving that you're ignorant? I think so.

BTW, I had worse daggers than you (and worse gear in general) when I hit 1850; Teddy also didn't have his daggers at that point. So you have a few options, with this knowledge:

1) admit that you're not as skilled as Teddy and I are.

2) admit that you're bad.

3) combination of 1 and 2.

4) concede that skill has a lot more to do with arena ratings than gear and weapons do.

Either way, we've pretty much eliminated every other reasonable possibility at this point.

It's really not because no one likes you.

Well, okay, it is, but that wasn't the original reason.

You are the type of person that insists they're right, despite all evidence to the contrary, making themselves look like a retarded ***.

When you first started posting here, I was all about giving you a chance; you could have very easily been a respected poster like Therion, Feyras, Thomas, GodOfMoo, and Teddy are. And yes, there are a lot of people on this forum that follow my lead when it comes to certain stances on things.

Want to know why?

Because most of the time, I'm right.

The reason you can't say the same thing as I can is because you don't have the respect I do. I'm not saying that to be egotistical, it's simply a statement of fact.

At the same time, I get rated down possibly more than any other poster on these forums; I just have about as many people rating me back up because the posts I make are (for the most part) good and on-topic.

I can't say anything I want and not get ridiculed for it; if you think that, you haven't payed as close attention in =21 as I thought you have been.

Theo is right. He gets rated down for no reason all the time.

I've honestly learned almost everything I know about rogues from Theo and Therion. Theo on the forums, and Therion in-game. Even though myself and Therion normally talk about life instead of the video game via PMs, I still learned a lot from him.

I remember the exact post you're talking about. I remember posting a little something in it...

Yea, when I originally posted, I didn't read all the way through the thread. I later read where he said they lost 5-0.

I don't like reading unless pop-ups are involved.

Did you see what I did there Zafire? I admitted I don't like to read stuff. Admitting you have a problem is the first step to any solution.

It is crazy. I read through this thread and thought, "Hmm. I should rate down this guy for being retarded, but then again he did make me laugh."

So, after a few seconds of debating to myself, I decided to rate you down. Only because if I rated up everything that made me laugh, all the retards on these forums would be gurus because I laugh at retards.

Link for future quoting. We need to keep this alive, the rogue forums have been boring lately.

That thread was ******* awesome. I forgot about that one.

This quote is particularly appropriate for this conversation, assuming Zafire is back to a rogue in S6 when they've been so dominant:

Rogues are currently the weakest hitting class in PVP at the moment.

I already rerolled a DK, and i'm having a lot more fun since I did.

You're a @#%^ing moron, and like most DKs, terrible.

"Guys I suck at <class>, so it must be awful! It's impossible for me to be anything but an incredibly skilled ninja!"

Rogues were the FOTM class when you played them in S3/S4, and now you're a DK in S5/S6; why am I not surprised? Smiley: oyvey
