Just started playing my pallies again. I have pally power installed, but no clue how to use it. Right now I have heal bot set up to give buffs.

Is there a quick start guide for this add on anywhere that isn't too complicated? My reading comprehension sucks when my A/C doesn't work.

thanks in advance

There should be the little green circle at the center of your screen, unless you moved it. Left-click turns it red and locks it in place, clicking again makes it green and movable. Right click opens the main window.

On right click, it gives the main buff window, with a column for your aura, a column for each class, and then a column for pets. You click in the box below the class avatar to scroll through your known blessings, same with the aura button. Then when you click Refresh, close that window, and join a group with members of those classes, buttons show up next to the movable circle.

You then left-click on the blessing buttons or press the hotkey (default is comma, I believe) to cast greater blessings on each class you've set. Right-clicking (or it's other hotkey, I think period) gives out single-target blessings. On the class buttons, there's also a timer for the lowest remaining time on a blessing. If the timer is in the top half, it's a greater blessing. Bottom half is a lesser.

Above the class blessing buttons is your Aura notifier. Red means it's off. Blue means it's on. Grey means it's on but someone else is also using that same aura. If there's a name in that box, it means someone else with Pally Power has that aura set to them as well.

Below the aura button is the Righteous Fury button. You can set it to notify you when RF is off and then give a timer.

And below the RF button and above the class blessing buttons is the mass cast button. Left or right click on that repeatedly and it automatically casts the correct blessing type on the class or person with the lowest remaining time, or straight down the list if no one has buffs. It does not work in combat.

I think that's everything important..

Oh, also, in the main buff window, on the left side where it shows each paladin with Pally power, it shows the highest level of each blessing and aura for each pally, as well as how many points in the improvements to those blessings and auras. It also tells you how many Symbols of Kings and Divinity each pally has.

Rate up for you, Ehcks. You've empowered my laziness, which is always something I prize.

Very well put explanation Ehcks, rate up from me too. I do have one question though myself:

When I'm in raids, I take it upon myself to be in charge of assigning Blessings/Auras to the Palys in the raid. There have been occasions where as I'm setting up PallyPower that I can change the settings of every Paly but one. Is there some setting that each user of this addon needs to change before someone else can mess with their assignments? I wasn't sure what was up with that, so a few times I've had to whisper said Paly and ask them to change their settings themselves so I could finish my assignments >.>

Thanks in advance :)

yeah, there's a setting that has to be checked to allow your assignments to be managed. In the bottom left of the assignment window there's a box marked "Free Assignment".

Also, I missed it until recently, but you can cycle whether or not the RF button casts RF by shift-mousewheeling on it, and add your seals to it by just mouse-wheeling on it.

You know, I saw that, but I never really paid any attention to it, lol. Thanks, I'll remember to let other Palys I raid with know they should have that checked ;)

Yeah, the other pallies need Free Assignment checked, or you need to be Raid Assist or leader. I usually just ask for assist.

Yeah its better if you don't have free assignment checked so some rogue alt doesn't start jacking with your buffs for instance(i'm sure i've never done that when on my rogue... sarcasm intended). Let the grp leader or raid leader promote you so you can set up pp if there are more than 2 pallys and all of you have pp.

When in a raid I'm always promoted so I can set targets, help with groups, and the like, but have still had issues not being able to assign buffs with PallyPower. Has that function always been around, or was this a recent update?

As far back as I remember, being leader or assist has always let me change other people's PallyPower settings. At least as far back as Black Temple being the latest raid.

And I usually only ask after finding someone doesn't have Free Assignment turned on.
