DK sidesFollow

Hi. I have a toon aproaching 55 now and I had a question.

One of my guildies told me you could only make a DK on the same side as your L55 toon. Thus if your L55 toon was ally, you could only make an ally DK on that server (though not restricted on other servers). From looking around, I have not found a direct answer to this, but I would think this would only be true on PvP servers (which are restricted thusly anyway) and not on PvE servers such as I am on. Can anyone answer this?

PvP:

DK may only be the SAME SIDE as your EXISTING TOONS on that server.

PvE:

DK may be EITHER faction.


This is because, though DKs are a separate faction lore-wise, they belong to the Alliance/Horde from a game-play perspective. All normal server rules apply.

You only need one level 55 toon on ANY SERVER to make a DK on ANY SERVER. The toon's faction does not matter, unless the toon is on a PvP server and you are trying to make one of the opposite faction on the same server.
