Is Shaman strong in the game?

It's kind of subjective. I'd say they are about equal with the other classes. In pvp they are not considered strong, I don't pvp just going by what others said. Most classes are very well balanced with the exception of death knights and maybe paladins.

Resto shamans are very strong in PvP, and with the recent changes to Ele they are a fair bit harder to kill than they used to be.

PvE geared ele shamans in PvP are incredibly destructive while still managing to hold their own while under fire.

Pallies are nothing anymore, they even make nice meat for my warrior now.

wait... what?!

i think you're mistaken... pallies are still burst and survival machines. the nerf bat has yet to hit them. And the fact that you're saying they're meat for your warrior makes me even more skeptical. Warriors have been nerfed into the ground lately.

Sorry, just irked me a bit.

I believe that RedBarron is employing the elusive Sarcasm. I could be wrong, but that would be my bet.

That's still one of my all time favorite posts Mazra. I've had the linked saved for probably a year and have it copied to a text file for whenever I need sig material.

Pallies have gotten several nerfs since their extremely OP rebirth in 3.0, quite a few of them were pretty noteable changes. If you cant beat a pally in pvp then you need to re-evaluate how you pvp, i chew threw them on my druid and take them on fairly easy on my priest, perhaps having a pally for several years has equipped me with what i need to know and look for but they really arent that hard to kill anymore. Now DK's are another annoyance entirely >.<

You have already been muted a few times and you just don't seem to get the hint, so allow me to add this latest attempt to my list...

Actually no. They have so many mana issues its completely psychotic. They are so easy to silence and ghost wolf doesn't help for crap in situations when you are already slowed. I love my shaman and it's a fun class and I survive until my mana runs out but that's the problem, I run out of mana unlike druids and pallies who can go forever and still be full hp.
