Glyph of Disease - bug?Follow

I'm having serious problems with Glyph of Disease it seems where I'm not getting refreshes on the timers after blowing Pest. This could be:

It's bugged.

My disease timer is borked.

I'm insane.


Anyone else having issues?

I'm experiencing a problem with it where it says "No pathing available" or some crap, and it wont let me use Pestilence AT ALL, but I don't think that has to do with the glyph.

It's always been refreshing my diseases though.

It might be a buff mod. I know I had to add some code to patch my elkanos. There was a change in self cast buffs if I remember right.

I bet it's an addon you have that is borked.

BTW, what spec gets a DPS buff taking Glyph of Disease? I sure as hell know Unholy doesn't.

All of them? I know blood gets a nice one. I can use a blood rune to refresh both diseases. I can use a death strike instead of IT+PS to gain blood runes. As mentioned in my other post, Ive seen crits of DS up to 12k. That is still lower than HSx2, but it works for the purpose of gaining death runes faster.

IT+PS > DS > HSx2 > RP dump
HSx5 > Pest > RP dump
DSx2 > HSx2 > RP dump
HSx5 > pest rp Ddump

IT seems to work, but I havent been able to test it quite yet. Only the taget dummies.

From what I've read on EJ it's quite big for frost......

Thanks for the responses. Still not sure what the issue is (already updated every add-on) but damn it's annoying. Going to try to get a better handle on when/why it happens tonight.

I'm using the Glyph in a deep Blood build for raiding, FYI.

I was debating getting this for my Unholy Build. Glad I didn't, now.

Now I'm just debating what Glyphs I DO want. Too many pretty ones for Unholy. Currently, I'm trying to figure out if my tank spec would prefer the chance to renew diseases on SS, or the extended UB duration (which is pretty damn nice, because it basically is an extra Rune Strike every 30 seconds).

Oh, and I crabbed Rune Tap because people keep telling me I am wrong to hate it. I'm still underwhelmed, but I'm trying to like it. So, I am debating whether or not grabbing the glyph will be worth it (I'm coming up at a solid "no," but I at least want to keep it open for my internal discussion). Frost Glyphs were so much easier to pick. >.<

At least I don't use DnD. If I had to add that Glyph into the mix, my head might implode.

There was a change to the return values of UnitAura functions which borks the tracking of buffs/debuffs by addons. If you use an addon for this that hasn't been properly updated for 3.1 it won't be able to tell your diseases from those applied by other people. This could be a source of your problem. To test it out I would suggest visiting a target dummy together with another DK. First test alone (and if everything seems allright) ask your friend to add his diseases to the mix and see if things begin to act strangely.

Thanks so much Selina! That sounds about right. I've updated MagicRunes and even updated DoTimer (which I don't normally use with the DK) just in case. Will report back.

I did in fact hit some target dummies with another DK and we had trouble replicating our issues except one: The "pathing error" that some people are experiencing with Pest seems to have everything to do with your relative position to the initial target. It seems to originate in a small cone in front of the player. If you are getting this error a lot, be sure your toon is positioned directly facing your target. Seems to be about a 60-degree arc or less.
