Did anyone else realized how useless this became? At least for moonkins...

I just used it while in moonkin form, out of combat, and got 2 freaking thousand mana back. Yay....=|

In combat I'm pretty sure it works pretty damn well.

I feel the same way as Brisin.... Not sure what happened but it seems my mana regen from Innervate has gone way down somewhere in the last few patches. I am going to explore and see if I can find more info on this cause I totally think it is weak sauce now when in my moonkin form in or out of combat!

It is based off Spirit and they nerfed Spirit OoC regen.

Moonkin doesn't stack spirit.

Less mana from Innervate.

They changing next patch to base mana or something like that anyway.

Not much info but found a few notes on it here. http://restokin.com/?p=1027

Either way right now it is really lame for PVE Moonkins (myself included) and I cant believe how far it has fallen from one or two patches. Hopefully the up and coming "base mana" regeneration change will bump the usefulness back up again.

Found a discussion on the wow home Druid board but until the next patch change all of it is conjecture, and not a lot of really helpful info but here it is anyways.

Basically forgetting this spell for now!

At level 80, it will restore 15.7k mana. On any class/spec. It'll be great :D

More information.

New changes are making Mooonkin sad for stack Spirit.

Sadness as less resto overlap.

Sad druid is sad.

Spellpower from Spirit in Moonkin form goes up. Still no reason to actually stack spirit, but makes the spirit we get unintentionally a lot better :)

They buffed Imp Moonkin form to increase by a higher percentage to make spirit more attractive to boomkins.

Also, Innervate has been changed so that its 450% of your base mana returned.

Its something like 15653 (not 100% sure) mana back for druids now. HUGE pvp buff for ferals, and also good for resto/boomkin.

Seens I'll be able to change my talents again after this change. I count with Innervate to keep my mana up, so untill last patch I had almost no taltent on mana regen. After this patch, I had to change a lot and lose a lot of dps to have mana again.

Thank goodness for this! I got rid of Imp.LotP in my specs and doing the dailies has been a pain. I have actually had to drink every now and then as well as innervate every time it was up.

So used to never even having to think about mana while soloing.

From Test Realm Patch notes

* Innervate: This ability has been redesigned to grant 450% of the casting Druid's base mana pool to the target over 20 seconds.
* Improved Moonkin Form: Now grants 10/20/30% of spirit as spell power.

Glyph of Innervate: Has been adjusted to grant the Druid 90% of his or her base mana pool over 20 seconds.

I am not really too sure why Imp Moonkin would grant extra SP off of spirit and as I know it there really is no other mechanic for a Crit Chicken other than this that Spirit gives benefit to.... Pretty sure I will keep stacking Hit (until capped as I am still only 79 and have little hit)>Haste>Crit>Int>Stamina and then if all else fails>Spirit.

Happy about the Innervate change as I was also having my first "mage moment," having to drink all the time. I even found myself doing a "/1 Any mages willing to trade water for MoW buff?" to save the G it would cost to burn through 20 pots every 30mins.... Not sure what the old Innervate was like but either way the current state is laughable.

The reason for doing this isn't for the leveling boomkins or the 5 man or heroics boomkins. Its for the raiding boomkins who have time and time again stated to blizzard that spirit is not important.

Look at the tier 8 itemization. You will see spirit EVERYWHERE. This is an attempt to make the talent and the spirit stat more attractive to boomkins because they've been doing so much class homogenization with gear that now boomkins will want resto gear.

Tier 7 gear still had a pretty cut and dry difference between resto leather and boomkin leather pieces.

So, if you take a look at the former BiS from all the tier 7 raids a lot of the gear is cloth because it contains better stats w/o spirit. Ulduar now has a TON of leather caster gear with hit/crit/haste on it that blurs the line between resto and balance because it has spirit.

This is why.

Right now, that would give me around 300 150 spell power more when fully raid buffed. Without a single piece from Ulduar.
But...yeah, they doing that because they added like a ton on useless spirit on almost all of leather caster gear.

edit: seens I cant do math
