i have reached an 80 level recently. have always been a bm....not doing so well on heroics. any suggestions regarding point spread or what most people use in survival to do well. i will research more. any help very much appreciated.

Give us somethign to go on here, post an armory tell us what you do for rotations, SOMETHING. Then we can help. However you really shuold read the sticky at the top of this forum.
Like the others have stated this is a very general question that is hard to answer unless we know more about your gear, build, pet and shot rotations. I'll try to help out with what I can and maybe you can let us know more.
First off, BM can still do respectable DPS for heroics. SV is king ATM but if you just want to grind and not raid, staying BM is aight.
Build: I would suggest a 53/11/7, it was what I ran until recently when I respecced (again) to Survival. The BM tree is pretty standard in this, let me know if you have point issues. Max out Longevity and Cobra Strikes, you don't need to max Franzy (3-4 points will do). In the Marks tree, go up to 1 point in GFtT. The Survival tree will have Tracking and Survival Instincts.
Pet: I would probably go with a raptor, I prefer them to the 'Saur and they do decent DPS for any fights.
Gear: I hope you have used a website like WoWHead or WoW-loot to look up what instances you need to run to get good gear. Heroics are EZMode, but if you are still in a lot of greens or 74's you will suck it up. If all else fails, find a LW and have him craft some stuff for you- mats are cheap nowdays and stuff isn't too insane in mat cost unless you are looking purple.
Shots: Arcane > Serpent > Steady and keep steady with refreshing Serpent and Arcane when it's off CD. If you are not chugging mana bad, then throw in a Multi when you can. If there are multiple mobs then Volley away until there are 2 left.
Glyphs: Bestial Wrath, Steady Shot and the third is pivotal depending on what you want to do...
1) Glyph of AofH > increases your haste rating when it procs.. kinda the lazy man glyph
2) Glyph of Serpent > increases Serpent duration, allows you to get in more Arcanes before refreshing
3) Glyph of Aspect of the Beast > increases damage bonus by 2%, if you solo a lot running AotB and having this glyph increases pet DPS, hopefully keeping the mob on your pet. I'm not totally positive when running AotB overtakes AotDH so I won't post such statements here and go look that up myself.
I hope these things will help in what you wanted. If you need more info just let us know.

More in the vein of "someone made a dumb grammatical error when complaining about grammar", with a dash of "but it was so totally intentional guys I swear".
Anyways, all alliteration alienates those that try to terrorize the plentiful patsy posters.

Posted: Apr 21 2009 at 11:29 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) If your going to post something like this, please give us something to work with. Dont say that you exist, yer level 80, and you need more dps. As it is, BM in heroics = Fail. Respec Survival and you'll see a massive improvement.

Nonsense.
BM is a perfectly valid spec in any Heroic dungeon.
It may not currently be top dps in a raid environment but it is perfectly good enough for anything 5-man.

Yeah... Because if you do heroics as BM, you're not allowed to respec Survival when you're ready to raid.
