Actually a Death Knight is the perfect Melee Hunter. They have the dead Ghoul thing as a pet with a little plate armor and can go in and melee to their hearts' content with their trusty dead thing pet by their side.

Besides all the wanna-be Melee Huntards and practically every other moron in the game has rolled a DK anyway.
