Infected woundsFollow

As I have been gearing up for lvl 80 and thus Heroics, Ive noticed that Infected Wounds doesn't seem to work reliably. I noticed this whenever I partied with rogues, or paladins due to similar debufs that infected wounds doesn't stack with. By now I've run more instances where my debuf gets shunted then ones where it has had any effect at all; its been enough now that I need to ask, is this talent really useful, or is it doomed to be constantly neutered by someone else with a similar effect?

I'd say that its still good for solo but the problem is that kitties kill things so quickly that its really moot. At least now I know that I'm not simply going blind - I keep an eye on my debuffs on the mobs I'm tanking in raids and was wondering why I couldn't find it most of the time.

I haven't seen it being overruled in raids myself, but it may be an issue of raid setup and who does what (or perhaps even the addon I use to track debuffs). For solo it's nice but not super useful. I pick it up regardless also because of PvP, especially seeing as I am on a PvP server.

I have seen it drop off sometimes and not other times. Warriors,Paladins, and DK's have a similar attack speed debuff. I think it has to do with who put the debuff up first. Either way, the talent IMO is worth it because Blizz balanced the bosses with the thought process that they would have their attack speed lowered by 20%.

In some cases, you might not have any of those classes available to use that debuff on your target(Offtanking another mob, DC'd, just simply not available to your raid), therefore you're taking more damage because you don't have it yourself.

I don't really have anywhere to put those points that I find it really important to drop this in favor of. Sure, I could dps a little better if I moved those 3 points into something more kitty related, but I would rather tank anyway. If I'm dpsing, it's only cause us ferals are just that good :P

I personally really like it. If you don't have a warrior thunderclapping, it's worthwhile; with Maul you hit multiple enemies with it, reducing incoming damage from various sources. It procs automatically for us, so it's not like we're changing our rotations at all. And mages love that their torment the weak talent gets use out of it, no matter what the situation.

If you ran with a warrior MT, I'd drop it, though.

The only reason I'd say keep it even with a warrior MT, is that on a lot of fights in Naxx, the MT is in one place and the OT is in another and it would benefit you to both have the debuff available to use.

Chimeria, did you have any ideas on other places to put those 3 points if you were to drop it? What kinda benefit you would get from not having it? Like I said on the first post. I've been looking and I don't really see a lot of places I could use just those 3 points that would make a difference.

You can see my spec in my armory which is in my sig. :P

Not really, I was talking about theoretically, Don't worry I'm not going to make a plug for Master Shapeshifter :) They would probably go to kitty damage. I don't mind hybrid builds. Im not amiss to Putting the points into Primal Tenacity either.
