So anyone else notice their PoM heal for 0 health?

How is that even possible? It procs when someone takes damage, if the damage is absorbed from a bubble, they dodge or completely block an attack it won't proc. The only time it procs is when someone takes damage, so how is an instant heal on damage spell, healing for 0 health?

Two things I've noticed recently:

Cast PoM on tank and it just disappears, like it wasn't even cast, with no healing. (can it miss?)

Cast PoM on tank, then jumps to melee, doesn't jump to another target even if both are taking damage, or jumps to someone else who takes no damage during the whole fight.

First one, there is a timer on the spell, if the tank doesn't take damage in that time it will dissapear.

Second one, there is a range to how far it can jump, so if no one is in range it will not jump to anyone else. Then the jump is totally random, so it can jump to people who typically take no damage in fight.

Some observant priests and warlocks will take the PoM jump and use it to safely cast SW:D or life tap to benefit themselves and not lose health through the PoM proc.

I meant straight after it lands on the tank, gone... like it wasn't cast at all.

I don't think PoM works with life tap. Or they changed it?

I've not noticed this myself, but could it be that someone else is healing them just as they take the damage? I guess the plausibility of this would depend on how often it occurs.

I thought about that, but it's happening quit often.

I mean, the plausibility is still remarkable no matter how many times it happens.

Factoring in lag(don't know whose lag would affect it, the casters or the one with PoM on them, I would assume the one with PoM), then adding in someone elses heal. Even a Hot, the heal would have to hit milliseconds after the target takes damage in order to heal the target before PoM does. You would think the odds of that happening would be incredible, but it happens quit often.

I don't think so. The thing with ProM is that it only procs off actual damage. Life tap is an ability that simply 'costs' hit points instead of mana (like Seal of Blood), and the ability therefore doesn't trigger ProM.

That said, no, I can't say I've noticed my ProM not ticking or ending prematurely at all. While we're on the subject, has anyone been getting aggro from his ProM? Previous patch ProM didn't gave any aggro at all, but right now I'm not too sure (and I'm not in a position to test atm) - last Naxx run I had a couple of mobs heading for me even though I had cast nothing else than ProM. It might just have been Renew ticks that caused me to aggro, but I'm just double checking it with the folks here.

I don't really know, I want to say it does, because I have had a PoM on the tank when he goes into a pack of mobs and my screen is spammed with a bunch of "Changing Targets" floating text. I don't know if my PoM caused me to get aggro or that is some kind of notice simply showing that the mobs have changed from no target to the tank, don't know if it's PoM because there hasn't been a pull where I haven't had PoM on the tank.

As for Life Tap, I don't know, I could change that post to say Hellfire, but no point in changing it now.

Yes, I have noticed PoM pulling aggro if I cast it and the tank has only body pulled and not actually hit the mobs. Same effect happens when casting a pally buff in the same situation.

As an update on this; I've checked it on three different mobs with a warlock from my guild and ProM still does not grant any aggro to anybody at all. Out of about 20 casts I didn't have one ocassion where the spell seemed to simply disappear without a jump.

This is as of Thursday 19 February.

I hope they'll have too much else on their minds to fix this for a long, long time.

Nope, and Healbot psts me my heals. Nasty chat screen, but I like the info.

The range fact is true enough. The random jump isn't. PoM firsts lists targets within range, then will target the lowest health toon inside that radius. If there is nobody else in range, it will dissapear.

Life Tap does not proc PoM, saddly.

Prayer of mending previously put aggro on the person it actually healed, each time it bounced and healed, but since wotlk that has changed so that the healing aggro was always on the original priest casting it.

Prayer of Mending is currently causing 0 threat (according to Omen, and other threat meters), but puts the priest that casts it on the aggro table (i.e. normal threat mechanics). No official word if this extremely low threat is intentional or not, though.

From responces that I got from posting it on the WoW forums. All my replys said the same thing, so I'm guessing it's true though nobody could give me an actual Blizz link.
