First, I searched the forums for this subject and posts for this content and results showed with nothing. Search is broke? 'Cause that seems off to me.

Next, I looked at http://www.wowwiki.com/Threat and didn't find my answer.

So, what I'm curious about is how does threat scale with cat abilities? Do all cat abilities have a static portion of threat and then an additional portion of threat based on damage dealt? Or is it strictly by damage dealt?

Do crits have a higher modifier for threat?

Etc Etc.

Does anyone have a better threat page I might be interested in looking at?

As far as I know, all threat from attacks is based on a 1 to 1 ration unless otherwise stated in the tooltip, such as heroic strike, Lacerate and Death and Decay.

Critical strikes do not have a different modifier, but they are such a large shot of DPS all at one time that your TPS will skyrocket, then level back down.

Different things like Bear form, Righteous Fury, Defensive stance obviously increase the threat modifier significantly.

Some classes/specs also have a threat reduction capability. Some have a threat reduction/drop capability.

Healers get healer aggro at .5% threat per 1 point of heal.

Melee range, dps can pull threat at 110% of the tank.

Caster range, dps can pull threat at 130% of the tank.

Not sure if that's anything you didn't already know, but unless I see a blue post/patch note stating otherwise, this is how I believe it still works.

# Cat Form has an innate threat reduction component. This is currently believed to be at 29% reduction, which mirrors the threat reduction of Rogues. (see Threat per Class) (Source )

You're right, that would fall under class/spec that has an threat reduction capability.

Some have it innate such as rogues/kitty druids.

Some have talents and some just abilities they can use such as Cower :P

Thanks for throwing that in Horse, I shoulda at least specified on droods and I got lazy :p

12 hours on the desk.... Ugh...
