Conflagrate / BackdraftFollow

#1 Jan 23 2009 at 7:01 AM Rating: Excellent
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did we just receive a boost?

I haven't looked at it yet, but the fact we can now cast Conflagrate without it cancelling Immolate, which means we can pop it right at tick one, hence activating Backdraft, means I can cast 3 Incins (or one CB and 2 Incins if specced for it) much faster more often?

Or is my logic screwed by Friday giddiness?

do you actually ever bother to read my posts? or any of the patch notes / blue posts on mmo-champion etc...?
#3 Jan 23 2009 at 8:09 AM Rating: Excellent
Your posts: Sometimes.

MMO-Champ: Never.

Do you ever consider being courteous or is being an abject **** just natural?

Its clearly obvious that Jenova is the resident expert on the Warlock class and that everyone should read any post that he makes because he is that important. Sorry I just hate elitist attitudes when I dont feel that they are warranted, its not a slam against you Jenova its a personal pet peeve of mine.

never suggested that all my topics should be read... the reason why i decided to be an **** is because you (inoperante) have actually POSTED in at least one of the topics in which i explained the patch changes, the conflag glyph and how it affects the destruction rotation and how it makes it a viable spec. THIS is why i'm being an ***** you've replied in a topic about the subject you're asking... it's like reading the manual to something and then going up to someone and asking where the 'on' button is...

POST EDIT

before we somehow end up in an arguement about whether or not you actually did post..here's the topic:

http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/class.html?wclass=9;mid=123255890313731258;num=20;page=1

you may have even posted in some of the other topics... but effort for me to look

Then perhaps you could have just said that, hmm? Don't pull that crap with me, I'm way too old to be ***** with it.

And I do believe I have confused myself somewhat here. Glyph? GLYPH?!

it's not a passive change to conflagorate. it's glyphed. you really should read the patch notes whenever a new patch comes out.... you're almost as bad as one of the locks in my guild who recently asked me "why do you have so much spirit on your gear?".. (bloody ******...) and you can't be ***** with that, well i can't be ***** with people asking a Q about something they should already know the answer too. i hate answering the same question twice to the same person / in a place where the answer is freely accessable / when i know someone has, in theory, actually read it.

As usual, I do have to agree with Jenova here. It was mentioned by myself and him in a thread that you posted a response in. The post was even about Destro Locks and rotations post 3.0.8. Why start another post about something that is already being discussed and clutter forums unnecessarily?
#9 Jan 23 2009 at 4:40 PM Rating: Excellent
1) I misread some info

2) I don't have time to read every post

3) This was about something very specific

4) If you don't want to answer, don't fackin' answer, not rocket science is it

5) This forum his hardly creaking under the pressure of too many posts is it, therefore I don't think I've really put any extra strain in it have I

I'm sorry, but I do not consider it elitist to expect that someone at least read the patch notes of all things before asking if we got a buff in a patch.

Couldn't you all have avoided the argument by posting simply the link to the update changes? Granted Jenova did, but most of what has been said here seems to be... unimportant. This thread could have been a 1 reply answer, being that link and nothing else.

If it were an armory war, jenova wins, with me a close second. More than likely anyway.

I really hope you not calling me one of jenova's minions. I am no where near the prick he is, I am generally very helpful, and provide information to people when it is not readily available. It just so happens, Jenova and I see eye to eye on things.

I also still maintain the fact that the info he was seeking was IN THE PATCH NOTES and in a thread that he replied to, above his reply. The cluttering the forums comment was a little over the top, I admit. However, look around, how often am I a complete *** and/or prick around here. I answer any and all questions, all the time, politely and as accurate as I can. I mean if you'd rather I not post and help people I won't.
#18 Jan 26 2009 at 12:24 PM Rating: Decent
I hope not because Jenova's gear is average at best... Go ahead Armory my toon. Average gear but stats are good, was wondering why Jenova's spellhit is so low.

Edit.. Armory changed from earlier for him

good to see there's a general concensus that i'm a prick. haykie sadly has it all wrong about my motives, desires etc... but that's expected from a forum troll. also nice to hear that everyone is supposedly my minion, wrong, but still nice to hear. anyways, as lathais said. we see eye to eye on alot of subjects, just i'm generally harsher about my method of explaining stuff.
#20REDACTED, Posted: Jan 26 2009 at 12:57 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) im not a forum troll for stating my opinion of you.

even if he had forgot, the first thing to do when you have a question about whether or not we got buffed in a PATCH is to check the PATCH NOTES. Call me stubborn, call me a prick, whatever, I'm not backing down on this one. I mean, it's a heck of a lot easier to just go to the patch notes, hit CTRL+F and type Conflag then to type out a post. You also get an answer instantly instead of having to wait.

Not to mention, I am the only person agreeing with Jenova in this thread, so who else would you be referring to when saying his minions. He has none, hecan be a prick and he knows it and is proud of it. However, he IS one of the most knowledgeable warlocks out there that shares information readily, even if it is harsh sometimes.

i'd consider most of my posts fairly neutral in how i explain stuff...the first time. but as I said, (and having to say again makes me want to rip you a new one for overlooking it / ignoring it) i HATE having to repeat myself in a scenario where there isn't a language barrier or issues with hearing what i've said (and here in this forum, near enough every speaks english to a relatively good degree and you can't make the arguement that you didn't hear me 'cos it's bloody text, so no reason at all to over-look something that has been said). so, if i have to repeat myself i will be an ***** it's a good way of getting out the anger that builds up when people just ignore stuff you've said.

and you are a forum troll. this is the first time i've seen your name (now i admit, you may have posted in the warlock forums before for all i know.. but if you have, it's been in the topics i ignore), we've never been in a direct discussion before and the first thing you do is come in, slander myself and everyone else on the forum and then make rash accusations about our reasons, for which both me and Lathais have already explained earlier. I may be an ***** but i don't go out of my way to insult someone and i don't make false accusations. pretty much everything i say will have a strong basis (an old habit of mine)

There are almost 5,000 posts in this forum. I'm willing to bet that almost half of them could have been answered by reading the 2 sticky posts.

I post random question, you post read the sticky dumb-***, he posts an answer, I post calling you an elitist, she posts her armory to show she's better than everyone, you post calling both of us idiots, he posts complaining about the thread, she posts complaining about the person complaining about the thread, you post quoting everything in the thread to prove your right, he posts quoting everything in the thread proving your wrong, I post randomly spouting crap as I've forgotten what the original question was, she posts answering a question no one asked, he posts smart-*** comment. Thread ends

Half the threads in this, or any, forum follow that basic outline. If you want a simple ask, answer, and end thread most the answers would just be a link to the sticky or some other easily attainable resource, patch notes in this case. It would be a boring damn forum, each topic having only 3 posts all with links back to the stickies.

The best threads on this forum are when 2 of the people go at it, keeps the forums alive and those posts are usually more informative than the sticky as they often have 2 or more people theorycrafting on how to play the class best. I've learned alot more about the warlock and Warcraft in general from reading topics where people clash, taking in both sides and seeing what they eventually agree on.

The thing to take from this messy topic, it's helpful to read the patch notes.

Hilarious.

Anyway...I wasn't asking about the bloody change, I KNEW about that (though I missed the fact it was to the glyph, not the talent), I was asking, specifically, if that meant a huge boost given the fact it activates Backdraft.

Not DOES it...but IS it a good boost.

Which SEEMS like an obvious question, but the nuances of certain talents have often passed me by. Anyway...I now know, so it's all good.

The fact that this thread has continued in my absence will give me much mirth for a good few minutes. During that time, I shall see if I can come up with another way of generating similar. ;o)
