At 70 a resto shammy and I soloed raptor boss for the mount and the fish boss for the polymorph turtle book many times (they never dropped though >: )

Tiger was a bit tough back then as the trash has a whirlwind raged attack which knocks you down so the heals were almost impossible. That would be a lot less of a problem now than it was though.

Basically, for a DPS and a healer (particularly tank & heals) it should be pretty easy at 80.

I used to 2 man both bosses with a feral bear and myself as resto. So at 80 I'm more than sure you'll be able to do it. One of our main tanks is feral and he solo's most of the mount runs. IE: H Sethek, H MGT, ZG, and Kara.

Read up on Zul Gurub on the wowiki page.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Zul'Gurub

Kill bosses 1 - 5 and Hakkar should be easy.

So far I have:
Read up

Killed Bloodlord
Attempted getting to Tiger Lord but died because of the axe throwers constant stun

Is there any way to be in a Raid by myself so i don't interfere with anyone's questing / grinding?

Party up with someone, convert it to raid and then have them leave or boot them. You'll still be considered a raid group.

Hey guys. Im feral, lvl 80 pretty decent gear. 30k hp, 29k armor self buffed. Ive solo'd Ony once a couple weeks ago and it was not easy for me. Ive seen posts and trade chat from other ferals that said Ony was easy. I dont see how, I checked there gear and it was way worse than mine. I have lots of trouble seeing her during stage 2.

Ive solo'd quite a few very tough fights. But I just cannot down the raptor boss in ZG. I can kill the pet and be at 80% hp but his enrage just whittles me down. No way to shift out and heal, I immediatly get charged. My rejuv's do so little when i can get them off and get back into bear form. Ive made several attempts and still no luck. Any tips? I havent attempted the tiger boss yet because by the time Ive given raptor a few shots, I get frustrated and give up.

To the ferals that are doing it, whats the secret? 40k hp and 35k armor? Id link my armory but Im currently in my resto gear as I tend to respect about twice a week. Thanks.

First of all, don't trust what people say. 95% of them are probably bragging about something they didn't even manage to do, or might have done but with a lot more trouble than they want to admit. People's precious virtual egos do stupid things.

Now, for the actual fight. I suggest you check the comments on Wowhead for that particular boss. Always check the last ones, as they're the most recent and have the most chances to help you. That comment by Keyblayde seems reliable and, if I remember the layout of the place correctly, might be the right trick to pull this off.

In addition to what he says, I'd suggest popping Innervate after the first healing session so that you are still full for the second. You can also keep it for the second session if you have enough mana left after the first to shift and heal again when you will need to.

Remember to pop all your cooldowns on the Raptor before he goes Frenzy and use that opportunity to jump off and heal, and/or kite him while he's in Frenzy as much as possible.

Haven't tried it yet myself, not even being 80 yet, but it sounds feasible.

Ok, tried again, after reading all posts. As for jumping from the zig to heal, either ppl were telling what the "WOULD" do or its been changed. Jumping off doesnt work anymore. As soon as I jump off, he teleports me right back up and proceeds stomp me into the ground. Anyone with RECENT data that could help?

link your armory.. ferals not my main spec, but with my off spec gear I have 30k hp, 33k armor and 38% dodge and I can tank and spank him without shifting to heal. also if its giving you that much trouble try to find a healbot to come with you.

Ok, here is my armory link. Just an update. I finally killed him. He doesnt seem to teleport me back up every jump, so I just keep jumping off till i hit the ground and heal. As for just taking the damage and not healing, I dont see how you do it. You do have more armor and dodge than me, but not a whole lot. After killing him I moved on to the tiger boss. Very very hard but finally killed after about 10 trys.

I tried this as Cat, but in bear form, and with my friend a Balance druid as heals. We did ok, the adds with the stuns were a royal pain. Three of them at once and they can stun you from pretty much anywhere. It was horrible. But we eventually got to High Priest Thekal. When we fought him we just killed the tigers right off, but we were having a REAL hard time taking on the boss and those two adds that can rez each other out of nowhere. It was kinda frustrating lol. We ended up giving up after our first try. I kinda wish they upped the drop rate...Because its hard to do it with few people, and its even worse with more people because thats just less chance of getting it IF it drops. Itd be nice if they actually made the drop percent about 4-10%. Then i wouldnt mind dying a few times and taking an hour or two to try and get it.

My friend and I have also been doing the Sethekk one too trying to get that mount. We do perfectly fine with a dps bear and a balance healer.

Soloed the fish boss, tiger boss and raptor boss last night at feral in full 25 man raid gear. The axe throwers in front of tiger boss is bar far the hardest to kill'. If you are unlucky and they don't all spin at the same time you'll end up beeing stunned 90% of the time :P

Just remember that the three "bosses" all have to die within a very short time of eachother or they get ressed up. Also remember that Lor'Khan is a healer, so set focus on him for easier interrupts. I found that with bash and running off to feral charge i had enough interrupts to completely lock him down. If you get him past phase one he's pretty much toast.

*I just noticed a post on another forum that trash mobs in front of the tiger boss isn't linked to him. This means you can skip those annoying axe throwers completely. I'll try that out on my next run.

Raptor boss was actually more challenging. He still hits quite hard and i only survived because the fight took long enough for my frensied regen to get back up. Things to remember is that he fears, so clear plenty of space to fight in. Also an annoying fun fact; The raptor trash stacks a 3 minute dissease on you, so unless you are patient, bring something to cure it with.

The fish boss is hardly worth mentioning, as the fight itself is trivial. Tank him in the water to avoid fall damage and you can basically /dance him to death.

I haven't tried any of the others yet, but might try those at a later time. The bosses drop about 22g each + loot that vendors quite well, so it might be worth the time to farm them.

Tried this again last night. Took out the raptors on the south side where the boss is and then waited for the debuff to wear off. Buffed up I'm at 34.9k hp, 33% dodge and 33k armor.

Shifted to bear, waited for my energy to peak and pulled the boss up the stairs. Demo roar to start, FF the raptor, pop berserk and mangle / maul the heck out of him until he's dead. At the time the raptor died I'm at about half hp. I decided to see about falling off and healing so I strafed to the edge and took the plunge. As it didn't teleport me back right away when I hit I popped out to heal, hit barkskin and died. The mob had followed me directly off the edge and out of bear form I didn't stand a chance.

I haven't figured out a working strategy for taking this guy down solo. The last time I did it I attempted several times and eventually pulled in a 76 paladin to heal me and it was a piece of cake.

I gave up and headed to Sethekk as I had a resto friend coming to help. Since I had about 10 minutes to wait before he was ready I headed in to take a crack at Anzu. Stealthing to him wasn't bad though you will want to walk the very edge of the room on the first boss as he did see me the 2nd time through.

In Anzu's room I took out the group to the left and the patrolling beast. I pulled Anzu into that corner as bear and beat on him until the first banish, popped out and started to heal and was beat down hard and fast. The birds that spawned also pulled in at least 2 other groups of mobs and possibly 3 so I didn't stand a chance. With the resto friend we cleared the room and then pulled the boss, was very easy as the duo.

The raven boss Anzu can be killed very easily with out killing any trash or doing any melee combat.

Check out the last page with the big picture. Ive done it this way several times now. Im feral but I put on my resto set to have more mana. All you do is stand in that one spot and rejuv the two birds. They do all the work. You wont agro any mobs either. HOWEVER, this process is long and boring. Takes about 40 minutes to take Anzu down. When he gets to about 1000 hp, I hit him with starfire just to make sure I get credit for the kill. Then soothe beast on the windserpent and loot. Also, mine as well kill the last boss while you're there. He's a joke for a feral druid.

As for the raptor boss. Now that Ive got the pattern down, he's become very easy. First, kill the pack of raptors to the right of his temple. Then clear the first trash pack next to them. You'll need this space to jump and run back up to the temple. You want to clear the trash because sometimes he will fear you before you get back up. Always fight on top of the temple. Kill the raptor first, save frenzied regen and dodge trinkets to help with the enrage after. I jump off and heal at about 30% health to be safe. Jump down exactly on the right side where you cleared the raptors. Sometimes he will port me right back up to him. Just keep running off till you land. I throw on a regrowth and usually can get in 2 healing touches also, then immediatly back to bear. Run back up top, rinse and repeat. Dont wait too long to heal yourself tho. Fears and teleports can really mess you up if you get unlucky. Once you get the rotation, its a breeze.

As for the tiger boss. I only did it once. After about 10 tries and a respec to pickup improved bash. I think it was really only luck that I got them down. Bashing and a well timed feral charge make all the difference in the world on that fight. But if you can get past phase one, the tiger is a joke.

Good luck all who try.
