Level 80 ready for endgame!Follow

#1 Jan 12 2009 at 8:57 AM Rating: Default
Hey everyone. This question is for Overlord theo or Therion. My friend has dinged level 80 and is ready for endgame raiding. She's scared cause she's doing her first raid tonight with some fellow members of the guild. I got her settup on a endgame build. I have read the stickies. What does she need to do for stats. Is it Hit, Crit, Ap and agi? Here is her armory: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aerie+Peak&n=Fierymoon

That build is wrong, Hers is this one just hasn't updated yet: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=f0eb0xZMgVbxbxoru0xRtx

She's wanting to wear purples and I've told her to start running heroics and such for badges. Were on a normal server and she does not want to PvP. Any advice would be appreciated. Such as gems. I've read on gemming and I know she needs to improve her hit rating. Her gear is more around AP because she was leveling. Thanks to those who reply. She's going to get a fast offhand dagger as well if she can find one. Her gear needs lots of work though. Thanks guys

Dude, seriously, I'm an idiot. I just know how to look stuff up. There are a ton of more qualified players on this forum.

Anyway, tell her to read up. If she wants to do well in raiding, there is no substitute for learnin'. Also work on that hit rating, 80 is pretty low. As to the dagger, get a Librarians Paper Cutter off the AH, or the Kirin Tor rep one. Both are easy to get.

Also remind her that it's not just numbers and stats and DPS.... stay outta bad sh*t, follow the kill order, listen to the raid leaders instructions (even if they sound wrong), pay attention, keep on target (!), and try to remain calm even if you're wiping for 2 hours.

Good luck.

Tell your friend not to spend thousands of gold on an offhand, shoulders and waist while sticking with a 91 DPS green mainhand.

Okay, first off, your friend might be wanting to get into endgame raiding but she's hardly "ready". As others have said, her hit rating is poor to the extreme. Also, her gear looks like it's all come off the Auction House or was picked up at level 70 or before - one trinket is from Borean Tundra, the other from Hellfire Peninsula.

I would suggest holding off for a couple of weeks and doing daily quests and running lvl 80 dungeons and heroics (if she can find people willing to carry her) to increase her reputation and then to purchase gear from factions' quartermasters. The cash from the dailies can be put to good use getting enchants on the gear that drops from the instances.

Oh and check out Sons of Hodir in Storm Peaks. They sell the Northrend shoulder enchants.

Theo isn't a rogue anymore because he found something that does more damage.

Oh, he's still a rogue alright .. he may not play a rogue any more, but you don't really get more "Rogue" than Theo.
