My rogue was my original character when I bought the game, got the thing to 52 before I burned out on the class. (Little did I know.. rogues actually scale with gear!). I watched a 53 affliction 'lock steamroll through a series of elite quests, and decided that the grass was indeed greener on the other side.
Four months later, after a rush to 70, learning how to instnace because I had been a solo nub, my 'lock is sitting pretty in full epics, with an epic flyer and six pieces of crafted gear, Karazhan epics, and a Darkmoon Card: Crusade. There's not a hell of a lot left for me to do on my warlock other than raid.. so I picked up my rogue again.
I went out and found a pair of green daggers, respec'd mutilate from combat blegh.. and a few days later I'm at 59, carving my way through battlegrounds on the quest for a black war wolf. I bought the thing last night, can't wait for the last few bars to 60. I leveled up Engineering and JC while I was going 52-59, and now they're both over 360.
Have you ever seen a rogue fly? Go find a goblin engineer, and ask him to show you what happens when you take a parachute cloak and Rocket Boots Xtreme.. and jump off a cliff. Fun times, and it's made for some epic WSG flag caps, and escapes from a zerg in AB. That and frost grenades made the grind through engineering entirely worth it. Plus I'm sitting at 5.2k health, with a helm equivalent to the Stealther's Helm of Second Sight, and the Goblin Rocket Launcher trinket. I love that thing..
I'm psyched and ready to bruise my way through outland again. 's gonna be good times, and I'm going to do a lot more pvp than I did on my warlock. I just find rogue pvp to be a hell of a lot more fun. Probably going to do Arena/BG's a lot more than Karazhan, I know that place like the back of my hand and it's just as boring to stare at for five hours a week.
