Seattle is pretty laid back. I went to some of the bars/restaurants that Theo suggested, awhile back, and I thought it was a pretty chill area.
I don't have problems with the ladies, either. I laugh at the guys that hover around the only chicks in a bar, though. I normally go whisper a little line in their ear and walk off, it leaves them wanting to speak to me.
If it is a club with a bunch of chicks, I normally pick the hottest one that doesn't have someone humping her leg, and tell them "I might not be the hottest dude in here, but I'm the only one talking to you," and that normally works.
Your picking up days are over! What would the soon-to-be Mrs Feyras think of that?!
The only place I've been that's more laid-back is Bozeman, Montana; where it's perfectly acceptable to walk into any club/bar/restaurant in gym shorts at any time of day or night.
My favorite women in bars are the ones that know they're hot and come up to you and are like, "hey, buy me a drink." And when I laugh at them, they get confused and I say, "sorry, the only woman I'd jump to buy a drink for is Natalie Portman; you're not her, so I guess you're gonna have to find someone who's dumb enough to think you might sleep with him if he buys you a drink."
