FAQ
1. What are Wii Numbers and Friend Codes?
A. Wii Numbers are a unique identifier of your Wii console, and they allow you to connect to other Wii consoles for Wii based features. Friend Codes are unique to a game disk you have purchased, and allow you to play online with someone who's Friend Code you know.
2. What can I do with someone if we exchange Wii Numbers?
A. Once you have both added each other's Wii Numbers to your consoles you will be able to send messages via the message board and exchange Miis.
3. What can I do with someone if we exchange Friend Codes?
A. Friend Codes allow you to connect together to play a specific game. Since they are unique to each game you must have the Friend Code of not only the person you want to play with, but also the game you want to play with them as well. You cannot Play Smash against your friend if you only have her Mario Strikers Charged Friend Code. Also note that Friend Codes are based on the Wii console as well. Playing the same game disk on a different console will generate a different Friend Code.
4. Where do I find my Wii Number?
A. Turn your Wii console on. From the main menu select the message board. Then select the new message option. Click on the address book icon and your Wii number will be on the cover page.
5. Where do I find the Friend Code from my game?
A. Friend Codes are found inside the game menu, exactly where they are located differs for each game.
