The subtitle of this book is "A Study of Sea Creatures in Edgewater Drain." The idea of poking around at the bottom of a sewer to study sea creatures is repulsively fascinating. While I might not ordinarily do something like this, it's all in the name of research this time.

An interesting, if waterlogged, experience. The mix of salt water from the sea and the effluent from the city apparently provides excellent habitat for these large creatures.
