This quest still exists (or has been restored). Odd thing is that I got the quest starter as a drop from a siren, but killing these doesn't update the quest. I killed mischievous maidens to get the update and avoid the faction hits.
Reward was :3 x pinch of fairy dust, L20 superior (?) food, 25 mins duration with health regen of 28 per tick

You must slay 25 Faeries in the Enchanted Lands.
