any new information on this key? i have the key and a quest, i have finished the off the sisters and i am supposed to find out what this key is for, I have tried tons of doors and what not but I still can not get the quest to update.

As I crossed the courtyard of Nektropos Castle, I felt myself taken over by a strange, violent anger. A vision of the Everlings' manservants slaying my family filled me with deep hatred and a desire for revenge. Though I do not understand this vision, I am compelled to respond by slaying the Everling manservants.

This quest is automatically offered to you when you zone in to Nektropos Castle.
You must slay an Everliving Manservant in Nektropos Castle.
The reward is Guestroom Key 01. This key allows you to unlock the doors to the sister rooms that lead to the back halls where the library and such are, without having to kill any of the sisters.

Nice to see Allakhazams take over a rival network and then not so much absorb all the info it had but well kind of destroying it.

Myself and a few others got this Key to drop for us while we were doing the HQ-Mask quest. We were in the game room killing the ghosts waiting on Billy to spawn, when the quest went "ding" for us and gave us the key. Once you examine the key it will complete this quest.

I can confirm your findings. The guestroom key only works to get in the basement after you killed Sheila. The door in her room opens up after you kill her. Of course, the library still remains locked as does the door leading to the spiral staircase.

The manservents are near the back (north) of the first level of the castle. They are near where the Ghost lore book is found.
Also the key seems to do nothing for me in terms of opening any doors in the castle without killing any of the sisters. I don't know if this is a bug or not or if this key is actually supposed to be used on some other door.

Where are Manservants? I've looked everywhere. They arent on any map or Quest log.

On obtaining this key by completing the quest, I proceeded to the first Sisters bedroom (Elise), but discovered the door was still magically barred from opening. I then checked every other sisters room only to find the same thing.
The only thing I have discovered to be different after obtaining the key, is that after killing Sheila, her door flings open and stays open permanently, allowing access to the deeper rooms. I could not get into the back rooms to kill the caretaker though, the door into the broken staircase area from the balcony was still locked, as was the library (I have the key) until you kill all the sisters.
Can anyone confirm this is the case with them also? I'm not sure whether this door opening is because I have the guestroom key, or because of something unrelated... but it's happened each time I've visited the castle since obtaining this key.

As far as I can tell this key just lets you open the doors in all the sister rooms that lead to the back halls where the library and such are without killing any of the sisters but it does not let you into the basement. You still have to kill all the sisters to get into the basement because the entrance to it is in the Captain's room and you can't get in there without the key that you get from the Caretakers and you wont get the key from them unless you have killed all the sisters first. I tried it and it didn't work. If anyone figures out a way to get into the basement without killing any sisters that actually works then please let me know because I haven't found one yet.

Think about this, if you go upstairs to the second floor there are 3 Guest Rooms, One of them you can't click on the Door For, This may be fore something with that room that hasn't been implemented yet

I got this key, and tried to use it to bybass the sisters, but the doors still say Magically Barred. Anyone know which door this opens?

Does anyone know how it lets you bypass the sisters? I tried to go straight to the room with the bookcase/doorway that leads to the basement and could not get it to open. Where did you read that this? Maybe they can tell me...

The Guestroom Key 01 allows you to bypass the sisters without killing any of them to get to the lower depths of the castle, this is something i saw on another site so will need to check.

I somehow doubt this key is for the library. With your other groups, it was probably simply the case of you having done the Boar's Head quest (which does get you the library key) and the other people not having done it.

I'm pretty sure this key is for the library. I have it and every Nek Castle group I've been in, I'm the only one who can open the Library door. No one else has had the key in those grp's and I have other key's.
