Bergna Veliumsmiter has told me that Thurgadin's gnomish allies have made clockwork spiders that are nearly impossible to tell from the real thing. These ingenious devices wander the Rime's Fortress Spire and record conversations that the Thurgadin army can later use to make battle plans. Unfortunately the recall mechanism doesn't seem to work correctly and I have been asked to enter the fortress and retrieve the errant clockworks.
