The Witch's Key
Once you get the key and quest, this zone is located on the dock area, in the Northwest side, /loc 885.56, 6.85, -469.21. If you have explored the entire area it is the yellow dot on the map that says Hidden Valley. If you mouse over the door, it says To the Hollow. Clicking on the door you will get the destinations: The Cauldron Hollow or The Witches' Cove. Once you click on the door, you will get an update and complete the quest.

Seems pretty clear to me... get drop, examine drop, get access to a little zone with a named.

Unfortunatly I got this item from a Gul'Thex Lieutenant (30^^^) when I was lvl 39.
I was able to enter the area alone but not a single monster in there was higher than 25, so no exp for me.
Well... one quest more I solved though.

It is called " An old key. " Got mine off a Nerius Marauder on Nek Beach.

This zone is for group only, went in as 29, all mobs are 25+ with no less than 1 up arrow, and most of them are 2 and 3 up arrows and groups of 3 or more. Don't bother going here solo.

who ever suggested this was lvl 22 recommended should be shot! i went in solo as a level 33 SK and got creamed by the first group!

not very impressive. I played with 3 other players and killed all mobs inside. Not many looted items and they wasnt so interesting. Dont understand, why the rating is amazing

It's possible to recover the shard by right-clicking on the Cauldron Cove gate and selecting Recover Shard.

Dropped off a Dragoon for me. Wish I would have read this site first, ended up going solo to instance zone and not only died but after realized is one time instance. Shard was lost and only made it 1/3 of the way thru it

You must log in or create an account to post messages.This quest is initiated by examining "An Old Key" that drops on monsters in Nektulos (crabs, deadly marauders, shrillers, cadavers, owlbears, motley kodiaks, shadowed men, sullian fairies, grinnin, rumbleroots and dragoons confirmed).
The quest allows you to zone a single group into a special instanced dungeon called the "The Witch's Cove", but only a single time. This zone is entered from the same spot as Cauldron Hollow (on the beach).
The reward is basically the dungeon, which has it's own mobs and loot tables.

The symbols on the key and the number of teeth tell me that this key is used to open a rather large gate. I would venture to guess that this key may open that old door near the Nektulos docks, but I cannot be certain.
