"The charging of the gem must not be disrupted!"

"Guards! Take care of those intruders! I must take the gem to a safer location!"

"Wake up you dimwit! There are intruders in the temple! Call the guards!!"

In Chanting and Ritual Chamber:

"Yes! The charging of the gem is complete!"

"Protect my retreat! The final step of the ritual awaits!"

You never actually fight him, and I am afraid I missed what happens to him (may have been out of range of that dialog/event).
