The gator will only spawn if you swim through but not if your mounted. Dismount and he will pop as you swim and won't agro letting you lesh him.

Cannot be leashed until you get within a few feet of him, then turns into level 80 ^ non-aggro. After leashing him, you have 10 minutes to get back to Groluk - which is plenty.

I've done this 3 times. You can be mounted, and do not need to swim thru the water to make him spawn. Approach him to make him attackable.

...he's also worth AAxp if you kill him. 10 minute respawn, then you can leash him.

Find and catch the largest alligator in Innothule Swamp, Grokkluz ( -33, -88, -438 ) , using the leash, Groluk's Patented Gator Wrangler. It's reported that you must swim through the water to make him spawn, so be sure to dismount.

Return to Groluk when done.

Having earned the trust of Groluk I have been tasked with going into Innothule Swamp and catching the biggest alligator I can find.

Stage 1

I need to find and catch the largest alligator in Innothule Swamp.

Complete:	I have caught Grokkluz, the largest alligator in Innothule Swamp.
