I have agreed to retrieve a tome called the Chronicon Temporum in exchange for some valuable information regarding a powerful artifact I might be able to track down.

Stage 1

I've agreed to enter the Library of Erudin and recover the Chronicon Temporum from Archivist Fahim.

Start:	Take the Chronicon Temporum from Archivist Fahim.
Complete:	I took the Chronicon Temporum from Archivist Fahim.

Start:	Deliver the Chronicon Temporum to Nabih Qusafi.
Complete:	I gave the Chronicon Temporum to Nabih Qusafi.

Start:	Find out what information Nabih Qusafi has to share.
Complete:	I listened to Nabih Qusafi.

I recovered the Chronicon Temporum from Archivist Fahim and gave it to Nabih Qusafi in exchange for some information about a powerful artifact.

Stage 2

I need to travel to the Hall of Necromancy in Paineel and look for clues regarding Animist Butrus' research.

Start:	Look for clues inside the Hall of Necromancy.
Complete:	I found an odd pair of spectacles inside a small box.

Start:	Use the spectacles to look for a clue.
Complete:	I found a letter written to Animist Butrus.

I found a letter from Animist Butrus' assistant stating that he had arrived at the entrance of the remains of Marrsfist Keep.

Stage 3

I must travel to the ruins of Marrsfist Keep in the Commonlands and find Butrus' assistant, Arzachel.

Start:	Find Arzachel at the entrance to Marrsfist Keep.
Complete:	I found Arzachel.

I traveled to the ruins of Marrsfist Keep in the Commonlands and confronted Butrus' assistant, Arzachel.

Stage 4

I must either enter the Cavern of the Afflicted and defeat the Bonegrinder in his most powerful form to receive the Enchiridion of Undeath or bring Arzachel an Ulteran Diamond.

Start:	Bring Arzachel one of the items he requested.
Complete:	I brought Arzachel one of the items he requested.

Start:	Find out what Arzachel knows about the Paw of Opolla.
Complete:	Butrus has made a deal with the Dread Exarch.

I gave Arzachel one of the items he desired.

Stage 5

I must enter the Necrotic Asylum and defeat Dread Exarch Mordek in his most powerful form in order to find the information he gave to Butrus.

Start:	Discover what Dread Exarch Mordek knows about the Paw of Opolla.
Complete:	Mordek has been double-crossed by Butrus!

On the corpse of the Exarch, I found a note revealing Mordek's outrage at being double-crossed by Animist Butrus.

Stage 6

The Exarch's journal has revealed that Butrus has double-crossed Mordek after learning the location of the artifact. I should return to the Halls of Necromany in Paineel and look for Butrus before it's too late!

Start:	Find Animist Butrus before the Burning Dead can locate him.
Complete:	I met a neophyte who told me Butrus fled Paineel.

Start:	Find Animist Butrus before he can reach the Stonebrunt Highlands.
Complete:	I was too late, Butrus has been killed.

I appear to be too late. Animist Butrus fled Paineel but seems to haven been murdered, nonetheless. Fortunately for me, I was able to find Butrus' journal.

Stage 7

I should travel to Antonica and investigate the sepulcher outside Windstalker Village.

Start:	Investigate the sepulcher outside Windstalker Village.
Complete:	The door to the sepulcher has recently been opened!

Start:	Defeat the guardians of the False Sepulcher.
Complete:	I defeated the guardians of the False Sepulcher.

Start:	Search the chest at the top of the dias.
Complete:	I found the Paw of Opolla and a tome inside the False Sepulcher.

I have come into possession of the infamous Paw of Opolla!

Speak to Nabih Qusafi at Mausoleum of Scholars in the The Stonebrunt Highlands.
Find the clue by getting a pair of spectacles in the Hall of Necromancy in Paineel at 1663, -267, 3175 . Equip the spectacles and then read the note on another table in the same room at 1657, -267, 3195 .
Speak to Arzachel at Ruins of Befallen in The Commonlands.
Either

kill The Bonegrinder in Befallen: Cavern of the Afflicted} and loot the Enchiridion of Undeath
or acquire an Ulteran Diamond. The Ulteran Diamond is a rare jewel harvested in T9 zones. You can buy it from the broker, it doesn't HAVE to be harvested. Then speak to Arzachel and give him the item you chose.

Kill Dread Exarch Mordek in Befallen: Necrotic Asylum and examine the book you loot from the body. You must be in the zone while examining the book to get the update, and you must do the L90+ version of the zone to get the book to drop.
Find Animist Brutus 1657, -267, 3218 in The City of Paineel

Talk to neophytes in the city until you get a response.

Find Animist Brutus before he reaches the The Stonebrunt Highlands.

Brutus is found in the far northeast corner of Toxxulia's Reach, at -60, 126, 2783

Investigate the Sepulcher outside Windstalker Village in Antonica at -1747, -13, -714 . Enter the special instance and defeat the defenders. There will be grouped skeletons all around the room, and a pair of named bone Roper models guarding the chest. 4 groups of Heroic level 93 1 up in linked groups of 3. kills these 4 groups - spawns 2 L94 heroic double ups also linked. This final step is far easier if you have 1-2 people helping. very hard to solo this part.
Open the chest to receive your reward.
