Which is unfortunately where I tune out a bit. I've yet to see anyone make a strong case that this kind of thing is a reasonable possibility. I can buy into the idea that you'll get smoother streaming from a specific on-demand video service, or recommended links from their affiliates, or discounted data usage from certain apps/sites/etc. but the idea that whole sections of the web are all of a sudden going to disappear, or be heavily gated, sounds a bit far-fetched at this point in time.
Edit: to clarify "far-fetched" in that some of the theories sound so bad that I can't comprehend people paying for the service in the first place. Why would anyone pay for something that cut out a large portion of the web? Unless you're getting free internet, or something close, it seems like that'd be a terribly unpopular service.
