A Sewage Problem

I found a device that appears to be pumping something bad into The Serpent Sewer. The pump appears to be gnomish, so the only explanation for this must be the crazed channel menders are up to no good. I will put a stop to them!

The crazed channel menders are up to some sinister plot. I should stop them before the pollute Serpent Sewer any further.
