OK. I have read several spawn points. which is correct? Also me a 7 friends went after it tonite and it never spawned. we waited about 45 minutes and called it quits. what is the respawn time or is there a PH?

i killed the winstalker with two people me lvl 24 wizard and 26 ranger just let ranger run in circles and let him shoot arrows and arrow spells while wizard just shoots fire balls and eventually will the winstalker die

I killed the rumbler a couple weeks ago with 10 others levels 19-25 and we had one healer and nobody died it took about 3-5 minutes to kill and like stated earlier we got a crap drop, some pitiful necklace, but it was a good fight.

Just gave this one a try to see if a Level 33 Berserker could do it solo. No way. It's a Level 21 ^^^ x2 Named which killed me rather quickly. A group will be needed to get rid of this one.

Tried to solo it as a 33 pally - it missed more often than not, but when it hit - it hit HARD. On my end, I used up about 2/3 of my power and barely made a dent in its health. I survived.. but only by running away. :(

thoghtthe epic quest was interseting a totla of 5 player ranging from 20 to 32 i did not make it to the end lost power at the end

We got 7 people from our guild together last night to kill this epic. We were all around 25. This was a tough fight and the loot was such crap for the hard work we put into it. It was NOT the encrusted orb as stated, it was some one-handed dagger with crap stats. Two thumbs down.. They need to make epic loot ALWAYS master now due to how tough they are.

Did this quest tonight with 10 people, this a true epic encounter. The previous post is for sure wrong about 3 person kill post patch changes. While we we're setting up for this we had a 50 druid whom was killed outright by this encounter. Group was levels 24 - 30
mostly 28 - 30 and he almost killed us due to only 2 healers and low power we barly got him down. I take it encounter's like this will no longer be a part of everquest considering, how few people group to do anything at these levels. I was lucky enough to be a part of this great epic slaying due to a massive guild "Casual Collective" on the shadowhaven server.

We slew this beast last night in about 5 minutes with myself (L25 Templar), a L26 Paladin and a L23 Conjurer. We were never in serious danger, but did have to be careful of power. Dropped an earring usable at L11 which I did not win and did not need (was a +2 Int item with some other stats as well).

Easily killed with a 23 dirge, wizard, a 22 templar and a 20 warden. Only took about 10 min but everyone was out of mana and the wizard cann'd like made :)

A group of four of us killed this creature in about 10 minutes or so. levels 18-26. The 26 was me, a Ranger, and I was the tank for the group. A Templar cast a damage ward on me as I took hits, and none of us ever died.
What is interesting is that you can go to Sayer and talk to him, and complete the quest in retrospect. I got the Gnollslayer sword after the fact.
It was broken the first time we attacked it because I tried to solo it. So we actually killed it twice, it popped soon after dying the first time.

It is given by Sayer in Sayer's outfitters in Antonica. I am not sure what the normal sequence is, but I was talking to sevral NPC in Sayers looking for the newer Antonica quests and when I tried Sayer himself he asked me started telling me about Marlea - my response was that I had already killed the Windstalker Rambler and the quest started and completed in a single event.
The reward was a sword called Gnollslayer. I'm sorry I don't have the stats.

IDK if they nerfed it or what, but its not just one epic snake, not grouped with anything. Me (L26 INQ) and a L26 BEZ duoed it with EASE. We had a REALLY lower lev'd guy grouped, just to bring it into color from being grayed out. And I dont know what exact time it was, but the battle happpened on Tue. 3/29/05, at approx. 4:45 pm. Hope that helps someone. Oh, and btw, as to the location, it was in the gnoll caves on the middle of the western map of antonica. good luck.

Killed Rumbler in Gnoll caves with party of 10, level 19-29. 29 was berserker, 25 cleric, 25, druid, everyone else under 25. LONG fight. Tank took little damage, just had to keep aggro off lower levels. For you spawn theorists, we found it on the 12th of Blossoming.

Could this creature be real or is it just a myth to sway children from wandering off? I will keep this knowledge while I am in Antonica, although I very highly doubt that I will ever encounter such a creature.
I killed the Windstalker Rumbler in Antonica.I killed the Windstalker Rumbler! I wonder if anyone would be interested, perhaps a family waiting to avenge one of theirs taken from them by this tunneling beast of Antonica.

Completing this quest also allows you to instantly complete the Vengeance for Marlea Sayer quest and receive an additional reward.
