Destroy All Vampires!
Trophy: A Sharp Wooden Stake

Lore and Legend quests are started by examining a special book or examining the first body part you find for that race. Either way, you will not get auto updates until you have the quest. The book for this Lore and Legend quest is "Destroy All Vampires!".

The quest requires you to kill Vampires for the auto-updates and body parts (which must be examined). Body parts are also tradeable, so check the broker!

For the best hunting places, see our Lore and Legend Hot Spots guide.

Auto Updates

  • a Vampire's Black Heart
  • a Vampire's Hypnotic Eyes
  • some Vampire Coffin Dust

Body Parts

When you have found and/or examined the last part the quest will auto-complete and you will receive:

You will need to study 20 of the vampiric incisors, but you do not have to gather them after getting the quest. If you have some on you, or even all 20, just examine them one at a time to complete this requirement!

One way to gain Vampire Mastery is to complete all quests in the Bloodline Chronicles Quest Series ending in the quest Enemy's Weakness or Watching the Watchers. Upon completion of the 11th quest in the series you will automatically receive this ability. If you completed the series prior to the addition of Vampire to L&L, you should have the ability now. You do not have to go back and talk to the quest NPC again.

Nights of the Dead

In 2009, the Haunted Mansion at the Village of Somborn in Loping Plains had a surprising new addition to it: a book called Destroy All Vampires!. This book gives you the Lore and Legend: Vampire quest.

As of right now (well at least when GU53 comes out) Vampire Lore and Legend quest will only be offered from within the Huanted Mansion. However when the event is over we plan to add it elsewhere in the world so it can be obtained all year.

Trivia The book that starts the quest, a swell as the reward, is a reference to the Frog brothers from Lost Boys
